Name:

How long have you been at WorleyParsons?
Four years in June.
What is your role on the project team?
Site Manager for AGL. I basically represent the interests of AGL on site with the Project Team and also with the Local Community.
How did you get into this career?
As a graduate Electrical Engineer I joined the old ETSA corporation working predominately in Substation Design & Construction which led to Project Management roles in large Transmission Line and Substation Construction projects. When the wind farm project arose it gave me the opportunity to take up working in the power sector again. This is my first green energy project and I'm excited to be part of it because we need to reduce our impact on the world environment.
What do you like most about your job?
Working in the Mid North, I love South Australia's country side, also the opportunity to meet new people on the project and local the community.
What do you like least?
I don't like self serving people who don't work for the benefit of the project team and the project objectives overall.
Who were your childhood heroes?
I always thought Rodney Hogg was the greatest Australian fast bowler at the time when Australia needed outstanding cricketers.
What are you reading at the moment?
The Art of Happiness by the Dalai Lama, my main focus in reading books is self improvement and human psychology. I'm fascinated by how people think and behave. It has been suggested by people that know me that I should have become a psychologist.
What is your all time favourite song?
"Something" by the Beatles: Frank Sinatra said that "Something" was the greatest love song ever written, and was his all-time favourite Lennon/McCartney song knowing that it was in fact written by George Harrison "who was, in my opinion, the most talented of the fab four".
Who is your favourite sporting team?
The Australian Cricket Team (bit of rebuilding required though).
Tell us something interesting that most people wouldn't know about you.
In 1988 I wrote and published a family history book on The Lillecrapp Families of SA. Originally the book was conceived by two elderly family members who had researched the family history, but they didn't have the capability of undertaking all the activities involved, so they gave me the information and I did the rest.
